Ayodhya

Ayodhya , one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism , located on the banks of holy river Saryu in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India  . It is believed that ongoing construction of Ramjanmabhumi temple commemorating the place of Rama’s Birth will result in massive influx of devotees

Hindu pilgrimage is primarily nature focused and mountains, hills ,caves and rivers and their confluence venerated for their  intrinsic attributes and dwellings of gods and goddesses. Pilgrimage is promoted by stories of these places and significance and glories of the place as mentioned in the religious ancient texts.

Ayodhya  on the promontory above the holy river saryu , is no exception . Its water bodies, hills and groves are eulogised in Ayodhya Mahatmya, a place text that has been of critical importance in guiding pilgrims.  Its oldest edition of text was composed between the eleventh and fourteenth centuries in an effort to keep the epic story of Rama Alive .

Religious Places to visit In Ayodhya

Ayodhya Ram Mandir:-
Most Important temple in terms of culture and history, regarded as the location of Lord Rama’s birth. Its creation and homage to Lord Rama are deeply rooted in legend, history, and customs spanning millennia.For Hindus, this location represents their faith and adoration for Lord Rama. It can also be viewed as the monument to the success of a protracted battle that was originally thought to be a site of religious strife.People of all backgrounds and faiths have come together to create Ram Mandir, signifying the unity in diversity. 
Ram Ki Paidi:-
Is one of the ghats constructed next to the Saryu River. It is thought that Lord Rama used to bathe in this river daily, as he was thought to be a Treta Yuga avatar of Lord Vishnu. There is also a belief that a person can atone for their lifetime of misdeeds by performing the same ritual at the same time. 
Jain Shwetambar Mandir:-
For Jainism, Ayodhya city holds particular significance as the site of 18 Kalyanaks that recount the lives of different Tirthankaras. The distinction of being the birthplace of five Tirthankaras—Adinath, Ajitnath, Abhinand Nath, Sumatinath, and Anantnath—lies with the city of Ayodhya. Five temples had been erected here in his honour by the Nawab of Faizabad’s treasurer. The first Tirthankar, Rishabhdev, also known by the names Adinath, Purdev, Rishabhdev, and Adibrahma, among others, is the subject of Digambar Jain Madnir. Today, it is well-known as Badi Murti, the location of a 31-foot-tall statue of Rishabhdev that is situated in Raiganj, Ayodhya.
The image of Rishabh Dev, the first Tirthankara of the Digambara Jain sect, commonly known asAdinath, Purdev, Rishabhdev, Adibrahma, and so on. Today, it is well-known as Badi Murti, the location of a 31-foot-tall statue of Rishabhdev that is situated in Raiganj, Ayodhya.
In the temple’s sanctum sanctorum stands the idol of Rishabh Dev, popularly known as Adinath, the first Tirthankara of the Digambara Jain sect..
Birla mandir:-
Birla mandir is also known As Ram Janki Birla Temple , Dedicated to lord Rama And Sita
Hanuman Garhi:-
Hanuman Garhi Temple was built by Vikramaditya in the Devotion of Lord Hanuman, this temple is believed to be  built in the place where Lord Hanuman stood Guarding Ayodhya .
Deokaali:-
The Temple is situated near the Naya Ghat , as per the mythology , its believed that Mother Sita after Marriage brought an Idol of Girija Devi , for which Lord Dashrath Constructed this beautiful Temple where the Idol could be Worshipped , so Mother Sita came here Daily to Worship Devi , which is now popularly known as Goddess Devkali .
Kanak Bhawan:-
Kanak Bhawan Was a Gift presented to Devi Sita by  her mother in law Kaikei on her arrival after marrying  Lord Ram . This place was a private Palace of Devi Sita and Lord Rama , which was renovated by Vikramaditya and later rebuilt by Vrish Bhanu Kunwari .
